BLACK PIONEER HERITAGE SINGERS
Coming together to preserve the powerful Gospel Sound that Alberta's original Black settlers brought from the Deep South over 100 years ago are The Black Pioneers Heritage Singers. They deliver a spirit filled sound that is universal in its appeal yet seldom heard outside of the Southern United States. When it comes to authentic home-grown soul, the Heritage Singers deliver like no other.
DEBBIE ZEPICK
As one friend described her, "Debbie Zepick is a wife, mother of 2, piano/voice teacher, home school teacher, praise and worship leader, recording artist, and a very gifted song writer. This artist has a love for God, and her music has a wide range of styles enabling almost any listener to be touched." Although she and her band do not attempt to "be" Celtic and do not use traditional instruments, she has always had that comment made about her voice and musical style. One reviewer, in B.C. Christian News called her singing "transcendent" and said that "angels must sing like this."

Derek Usher
Based out of Vancouver area of Canada's Beautifull west coast, Derek has over twenty years experience and has recorded on over 11 different albums and projects. Although Derek has primarily spent his career playing lead guitar in a range of rock bands and continues to play with "She Says Electric" he has developed a sizeable repertoire of finger style acoustic songs and his fans who have heard it have demanded that he record a solo album. |
|
Combining unusual alternate tunings, flowing chordal melodies and harmonic tapping accents; Derek constantly pushes the boundaries of what his guitar can do and how he can entwine the haunting fingerstyle melodies with his emotionally transparent lyrical soul. |
